My First Blog!

This is my first blog.
I will be continuing to create new blogs throughout the making of my music video. From the planning and research to the final production and evaluation. My blogs will include some videos which have inspired me and pictures as well as text. I will be working in a group with Amy Mackenzie and Bethan Rees-boughton.

I think the song we choose is very important for our music video, as it has to relate with the genre and the lyrics. For example if we chose a song which told a love story through the lyrics, it would be inapropriate to tell a different story through the music video.

We looked at a range of different music videos on youtube to get some ideas. Our influences were Taylor Swift's music video for her song 'You Belong With Me' & Daniel Powter's music video for his song 'Bad Day'. We liked the ideas in these videos of how it tells a love story through writing notes to one another and drawing to express how they are feeling, rather than talking.

For further research we will be creating individual questionnaires to find out what the target audience would like to see in a music video. I will be getting a wide range of respondents as i will be creating questionnaires to hand out and questionnaires online. From the results of the questionnaire's we will then figure out what we could include in our music video and to change any ideas we had if our respondents did not like them.
